About "NSDA Lincoln-Douglas"
This week’s Monument Coach Release is the current release for NSDA Lincoln-Douglas debaters.
The NFHS (National Federation of High Schools) releases a national resolution that Lincoln-Douglas debate organizations use in their tournaments. The two largest are the NSDA (National Speech and Debate Association) and the NCFL (National Catholic Forensic League). Monument source material is written for the 2018-2019 school year resolution:
“Resolved: In the United States, reporters ought to have the right to protect the identity of confidential sources.”
This year’s resolution calls our attention to how journalists and reporters are able to lawfully use citations and whether or not they have the right to use quotations from people who wish to remain anonymous.
In this release author Drew Magness gives a sample of a Negative case which values the trust in the media.
