About "Climate Change G20 Communique"
International cooperation on climate change has been put to the test this week following President Trump’s refusal to agree with the other 19 G20 nations on carbon environmental standards. This is second refusal to go along with world leaders, last month announcing his intention to withdraw from the Paris accord, an international agreement dedicated to reducing carbon emissions.
Backlash from the other members of the summit followed, with specific condemnation from the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel. The Summit comes to a close with agreements on free trade and migration, but without a unanimous agreement concerning the environment.
