About "Global Warming"
Some have suggested that hurricanes Harvey and Irma are signs of global warming. Perhaps, as Al Gore’s latest movie and surprise-flop at the box office suggests, storms such as these are evidence that justifies government do something to change its climate-threatening pollution. We should stop listening to the “deniers” and start listening to the “undebatable science” that Mr. Gore references.
Trouble is, the alarm has been railing for the past decade, a decade where we experienced the fewest number of tropical storms since the 1850s. Hurricanes are awfully damaging, but on a global scale, we have had quite the run at avoiding them. Extempers this week will have their chance to defend or attack the scientific claim that our current hurricanes are results of global warming.
Other question topics include North Korea, Legos, tax reform, the health of US colleges, DACA, Pope Francis’ anticipated condemnation of Venezuela (perhaps), and more.
