About "Indictment of Roger Stone"
Roger Stone has been indicted by the Mueller investigation for lying and tampering with witnesses to cover up his involvement in the releases of hacked emails from Democratic officials after communicating with a senior campaign advisor for President Trump’s 2016 campaign. The indictment notes that the Democratic National Committee revealed it had been hacked by Russian operatives in 2016, which Stone may have known. Additionally, Stone is charged with communicating with WikiLeaks, which was responsible for posting the hacked emails.
Many are questioning what this indictment will mean for the Presidency as the Mueller investigation continues. It is unclear how closely Stone worked with members of the President’s campaign, and it is unknown who communicated with and directed Stone’s actions. Stone is the 6th person associated with President Trump to be charged by the Mueller investigation, causing concern as to the future of both the investigation and the presidency.
This week’s topics of debate include Stone’s indictment, the border wall, Venezuelan leadership, gun control, and more!
