About "How to Do Apologetics"
Monument’s Apologetics Membership is what I wished I had when I first started. The downloads we’ve prepared for you were designed specifically to help students in Stoa answer the deep questions presented by competitive apologetics, to consider the questions from multiple angles and bring clarity to the issues given.
You will most of our downloads are former apologetics competitors with many accolades through years of competition. But few of our stories started out that way. Mine didn’t. We learned as we went from tournament to tournament, just like you will. Our goal for Monument Members is to give you source material that provides you with the head start we wish we’d had. The books, resources, quotations verses, and thoughts are all the fruit of our years of competition and research we plunged into to aid you in your work.
Among the features of every download, we’ve written commentary for every one of the topics, gathered a plethora of quotations from a variety of apologetics/theological works, and comprehensive lists of Bible references. We encourage you to read not only the verses that mention the themes you’re looking for, but to explore the context for those passages for a greater depth and value to the divine words.
Overall, we seek to teach you a skill that we find to be among the most valuable skills there are. To learn to evaluate and respond to statements that contradict your beliefs, to identify a flawed premise in a loaded question, and to speak persuasively and passionately about Jesus Christ, are only a few of the abilities gained from this activity. Above all, we encourage students to remember that the ultimate goal is to glorify God with their words and lives. I know this will grow you in your walk and faith with our beloved Lord.
On behalf of the champion apologists who contributed, we humbly submit this work to you with the hope that God will use it to help you grow and be challenged in your faith.

Luis competed in speech and debate as a founding member of the California club Set Apart for three years. In his final season in 2011, God blessed Luis with the unprecedented and undefeated record of receiving first place in Apologetics at all four tournaments he attended, including the National Invitation Tournament of Champions (NITOC).
