NOTE about this BETA Release

You may have been redirected from our old membership site for Stoa, NCFCA or NSDA debate. Welcome to the new! This is only in beta, meaning that the downloads here are accessible by anyone who signs up (and that’s currently free). They don’t have access to all Season 17 downloads for your specific league (like you do), but they are set up to receive notification when Season 18 launches June 1.

Are you a Lincoln-Douglas debater? This brief could come in handy for you, too. Consider the Stoa resolution on private property rights vs. public needs and how this can be an application on personal products; the NCFCA resolution on retribution/rehabilitation and the overflow of prisons; and even NSDA Nationals topic on civil liberties, marijuana could be interpreted into an application. We specifically chose this brief from all of Vance’s Unpublished Briefs so that it could cross-apply to Lincoln-Douglas Debaters, too.

So sign up today for FREE! We have new events, new pricing, and new ambitions for the coming season. Enjoy this download and blessings to your debating.

About This Download

There’s an Affirmative Plan that would require federally approved labels on edible marijuana products, like brownies, to indicate that they contain marijuana. This would apply to all states where it has been legalized. The plans is supposed to prevent products from being eaten accidentally by children, some products appear very much like ordinary food.

The plan sounds like a good idea, but Vance’s brief blows some significant holes in it.
