Resolved: The United States federal government substantially reform the use of Artificial Intelligence technology

Case Summary: The AFF plan enacts the Algorithmic Justice and Online Platform Transparency Act (AJOPTA), a bill introduced into Congress in May 2021 but not yet (as far as we know) enacted. This bill is similar to the Algorithmic Accountability Act, so a lot of the AAA evidence cross applies here.  The goal of AJOPTA is to eliminate racial bias in the use of AI in the economy as well as in voting rights, education, housing, and banking.  Its big focus is online social media.
